MMS in a south asian context denotes the violence of a media– a mediated, exploitative phenomenon for brown skin femmes. To dispel the stigma of nonconsensual exposure on a digital platform, we are reclaiming this phenomenon and challenging the inherent hierarchies of a digital space by willfully turning the cameras on ourselves, and controlling our images.
Kohinoorgasm (one word: ko-hee-noor-gasm) is the experimental pop music project of Josephine Shetty, Los Angeles native and San Francisco Bay Area resident. As a mixed race, queer, desi artist, she seeks to expand the dialogue around multidimensional identity-based experiences by visualizing and performing commentary on complex histories across many mediums, including photography, journalism, music, and modeling.

Somnath Bhatt is Designer and Artist from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. He is currently finishing his BFA in Graphic Design at the Rhode Island School of Design. He wants to understand art and design in all its incarnations.
